The First Adam 
consumed 
sinfully 
from the tree of the knowledge of good 
and of evil, 
while the Second Adam
was consumed
sinlessly
on the cruciform tree,
to impart knowledge
of the victory of good
over evil
to Old Adam's heirs,
whose heirs are we all.
