I have been in Asia too long

A friend recently told me a bus she was on smelled like soy sauce. Soy sauce, eh? I was alarmed because I didn't know if a bus smelling like soy sauce is a good or a bad thing. Perhaps I've been in Asia too long. My cultural olfactory nerves are all kaputt.
