As long as they can attend the funeral, that's fair, eh?

CNN.com - Appeals court: Schiavo parents cannot intervene - Jul 1, 2004

The 2nd District Court of Appeal upheld Circuit Judge W. Douglas Baird's ruling denying an attempt by Bob and Mary Schindler to join the fight over the law's constitutionality. ...

Bush is defending the law and the Schindlers wanted to join him as a party to the lawsuit.

This is such a slap in the face. More judicial salt-in-the-wound arm-twisting by the Culture of Death, Esq.

Even so, I'm not sure how much this really changes things, practically speaking, since Terri's parents are already so active outside the courtroom. At most, I think it means the case will be named Bush v. Schiavo, rather than Bush & Schindler v. Schiavo.

Any legal whizzes got any insight into this new development?
